Available at Music Record Shop: Saxon Rock The Nations, is ’80s rock anthem brilliance. The British metal band grew and changed with this album, and there are more than a couple of surprises, not the least of which is that Elton John shows up on a couple of tracks: “Party Til You Puke” and “Northern Lady.” John was recorded his own album, Leather Jacket, at the same UK studio, and agreed to join in on the album.
Founded in 1976, Saxon is considered one of the frontrunners of the ’80s New Wave of British Heavy metal. In 1985, they signed to EMI records and recorded Innocence is No Excuse, followed by Rock the Nations. Saxon continued to record and tour long after this album, and continues to be a force of metal today, 35 years after they started. A wide selection of their albums is available at Music Record Shop.

Saxon was one of Europe’s biggest metal bands in the ’80s, and a consistent UK music chart-topper.
